The Flight Dispatcher plans for the safe and efficient operation of each Jet Blue flight in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Company guidelines. The Dispatcher specifies and communicates conditions such as fuel required, alternate airports and any aircraft restrictions. The Dispatcher formulates operating plans and communicates them to the System Operations team.

• Flight planning for safe and efficient routes of flight, including fuel requirements, alternate airports, and aircraft restrictions
• Brief Captains on potential hazards, delays, runway construction, and curfews
• Ensure takeoff and landing parameters are met
• En route flight following until completion of flight
• Proactively prepares for and manages irregular operations
• Ensure compliance with all requirements of Federal Air Regulations and Company procedures
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
• Two (2) years Aviation experience
• Exceptional communication skills with complete fluency in written and spoken English
• Must successfully complete an English language fluency assessment
• Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and focused with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to think critically and to work under pressure in a team environment
• Available for overnight travel (20%)
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two (2) years Dispatch experience
• Two (2) years Jet Blue SOC experience
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Able to maintain a professional appearance.
• When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable crew members are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
• Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Jet Blue culture, that is, exhibit the Jet Blue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
• Promote Jet Blue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
• Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
• Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
• Upholding Jet Blue’s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
• The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position .

• Computer and other office equipment
• Flexible hours/shift work required to cover operation twenty four (24) hours a day and seven (7) days a week

• Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)

• The base pay range begins at $42.21. Base pay is one component of Jet Blue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crew member stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on Jet Blue, and more.
