Scheduler Flight Crew

The Flight Crew Scheduler schedules Flight Crew members in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company policies and procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The highest level of customer service is essential while coordinating with other departments and communicating with Crew members.

Schedule and notify Flight Crew members in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Company policies and procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) using available data and reports

Monitor Flight Crew members' schedules for irregularities

Process Crew member schedule adjustments using automated computer programs

Arrange for Crew member hotel and/or transportation if necessary

Assist with research, data analysis, development and execution of departmental programs

Complete other duties as assigned by Crew Services and/or System Operations Leadership

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

One (1) year customer service or office experience

Successful completion of pre-employment assessment(s)

Available for overnight travel (10%)

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Bachelor's Degree OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience

Crew Scheduling experience

Operations experience in Part 117 and 121 Airline environment

Flexible work schedule to support the 24/7 operation

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crew members are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Promote Jet Blue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

Upholding Jet Blue's safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Computer and other office equipment

Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)

The base pay for this position starts at $26.25 per hour. Base pay is one component of Jet Blue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crew member stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on Jet Blue, and more.
