Our partner is seeking a Warehouse Operator III to support warehouse operations in Central Islip, New York
. This hourly, full-time role involves receiving, handling, storing, and distributing materials while maintaining compliance with warehouse procedures, quality systems, and safety standards. Responsibilities include inventory handling, documentation, material movement, and supporting production and shipping operations.
Job Title: Warehouse Operator III
Employment Type: Hourly / Full-Time
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.25 per hour
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Responsibilities- Inspect carriers and trailers for inbound and outbound shipments and report discrepancies.
- Escort drivers while they are in the facility and ensure facility procedures are followed.
- Receive and unload freight, check for damaged goods, and verify items and quantities against documentation such as Bills of Lading, packing lists, and purchase orders.
- Move materials for sampling, inspection, and status label changes while ensuring proper labeling.
- Transfer materials from quarantine to released or rejected storage areas as directed and update storage locations in coordination with warehouse personnel.
- Perform dispensing activities for packaging and raw materials while following cGMP and GDP practices in coordination with the quality department.
- Pick materials from released inventory according to production schedules, pick lists, and production records while following applicable procedures.
- Complete required documentation accurately.
- Deliver materials to designated locations using powered industrial trucks (PIT).
- Load outbound freight according to Bills of Lading after confirming product descriptions, lot numbers, counts, and quantities using PIT equipment.
- Perform inventory counts as required.
- Conduct daily inspections of PIT equipment before operation.
- Operate company trucks to transfer materials between facilities.
- Follow safety standards in all warehouse areas.
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition and perform minor cleaning as needed.
- Verify documentation and reports for accuracy.
- Follow quality management system requirements, cGMP policies, documentation standards, and safety and sanitation regulations in accordance with industry and FDA standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by warehouse management.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Four to five years of warehouse experience.
- Experience operating forklifts or the ability to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations within an FDA-regulated environment such as food, over-the-counter products, or pharmaceutical materials.
- Experience with dispensing or sampling regulated materials is a plus.
- Ability to complete documentation clearly and accurately.
- Ability to count accurately and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
