Material Specialist

Wabtec | Now Hiring a Material Specialist

Location: Selkirk, NY

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Wednesday - Saturday (Alternating Wednesdays)

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Forklift experience required
• Basic computer and inventory software knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overnight schedules

• Pull, receive, ship, and track locomotive parts and materials
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely
• Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, including LTL and expedited freight
• Use inventory software and Microsoft Office applications for tracking and reporting
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance
• Support material forecasting and shop supply needs for locomotive repairs
• Process warranty claims and assist with inventory reporting
