Logistics Associate

Their suite of products is field proven and utilized in Commercial, Military, Government, Industrial, Agriculture, Robotics, and Unmanned System markets.

Persistent Systems is looking for a Logistics Associate. You will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing shipments at Persistent Systems’ New York City headquarters.

• Shipping and receiving all packages, including accepting and signing for deliveries from distributors, as well as organizing and planning outbound orders within our ERP system.
• Maintaining warehouse inventory and organization, including sorting materials according to characteristics such as size, type, style, and product code under FIFO (First‑In‑First‑Out) procedures; conducting daily inventory of products, conducting cycle counts, and reporting data to the Logistics Lead and or Inventory Analyst.
• Promptly receiving in deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables within the 24‑hour window.
• Maintains accurate reporting of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders loading the contents to each package that is shipped through the ERP system.
• Monitoring warehouse jobs related to customer orders – kitting product from production.
• Maintaining inventory of shipping supplies and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Documenting and maintaining shipping and receiving logs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with packaging and shipping product and other valuable goods.
• Experience in a warehouse/storeroom, with knowledge of warehouse functions.
• General knowledge of legal and safety procedures for handling of goods.
• Literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

• Experience with information management systems: ERP/MRP.
• Knowledge of shipping integrated systems such as UPS, Fed Ex, DHL - Domestics and International.
• Experience with
  
  Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices and procedures.

The base pay for this role will be $24.50 an hour. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
