Warehouse Associate

Overview

Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools, equipment and transmissions. Headquartered in Long Island, New York, the company is expanding across the United States.

We are looking for candidates to join our team as a Warehouse Associate, where you will play a key role in receiving, labeling, storing, and selecting parts to fulfill customer orders.

The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, inspecting stock for damages, maintaining inventory records, accurately filling customer orders, and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently.

• Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock.
• Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock.
• Scanning items into the warehouse management system.
• Inspecting all stock for damages and keeping records of damages.
• Organizing the warehouse space.
• Preparing orders for shipment.
• Picking orders for shipment.
• Recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments.
• Operating stock management tools such as powered industrial equipment and pallet jacks.
• Counting stock and keeping inventory records.
• Routine cleaning duties.
• Interface with management to ensure key objectives are realized.
• Maintaining safety regulations and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10‑50 lbs and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb ladders or stairs, or balance.
• May be subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• May be required to work in narrow aisles or passageways.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

• Open, flexible availability and willingness to work various shifts and overtime.
• 1‑2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
