Position Overview

Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Amsterdam, NY.

Shift: 1st Shift;
Monday‑Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm with overtime (including possible nights/weekends). Compensation: starting at $18.00 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits. You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Handle shipping, receiving, indexing, storage, counting, packaging, and distribution of equipment, materials, and merchandise.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents; record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• Enter data into the inventory control system.
• Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse.
• Pull product from the warehouse for delivery to the production floor.
• Pick, wrap, and pack products in boxes, cartons, or other containers, then affix identifying information.
• Use shipping systems such as Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS.
• Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
• Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record‑keeping.
• Complete shipping and receiving reports.

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems as needed.
• Comfortable operating or learning to operate material‑handling equipment.
• Comfortable at heights up to 35ft.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Must maintain a stationary position for regular periods.
• Must regularly handle machinery and products, including print materials.
• Must frequently move inside the facility.
• Must lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50+ pounds.

• Knowledge of operating sit‑down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
