The Assistant Night Warehouse Manager assists in overseeing all night warehouse operations and warehouse personnel. This position provides leadership and direction to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe operations while meeting the daily needs of our customers. The Assistant Night Warehouse Manager supports routing, loading, inventory control, quality assurance, and employee development to maintain operational excellence.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Recruit, interview, hire, and train warehouse employees.
- Provide ongoing training to ensure efficient and accurate product selection, loading, and delivery preparation.
- Schedule, organize, and oversee staff to ensure appropriate coverage and productivity throughout the shift.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and recognition as appropriate.
- Administer discipline and employment actions in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and company policies.
- Promote a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
- Oversee nightly warehouse operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, and customer service standards are met.
- Ensure warehouse facilities and equipment comply with OSHA regulations and supplier requirements.
- Monitor and verify quality control processes to ensure order accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, loading errors, and operational issues.
- Monitor product rotation, code dates, and warehouse breakage to minimize loss and maintain product integrity.
- Review and adjust daily routing activities as necessary and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Correct invoices and documentation related to inventory and routing issues.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Inventory team regarding product shortages, inventory concerns, and operational challenges.
- Assist with truck building, route planning, and dispatch operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to warehouse activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively delegate responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other warehouse management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Associate degree (A.A.) and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Night warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience in a union environment preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment.
