We’re Fresh Direct. Since 2002, we’ve offered the best selection of fresh food and proudly pioneered online grocery shopping. From our state‑of‑the‑art Bronx facility, we deliver to the greater New York City metropolitan area with seasonal service to eastern Long Island and the Jersey Shore.

The Fresh Personal Shopper is responsible for picking, scanning, and packing produce items while ensuring only the highest‑quality products are selected and properly protected for customers. Previous produce or quality assurance experience is a plus.

• Pick, scan, and pack produce items for customer orders.
• Ensure all produce meets Fresh Direct’s high quality standards.
• Follow Safe Food Practices specific to the department.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks within the department.
• Maintain strong safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards.
• Audit produce for quality as needed.
• Support team members and maintain a strong team‑oriented mindset.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required.
• Stand or walk 6–10+ hours per shift.
• Perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Work safely around FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, and flashing lights.
• Work in cold environments: –10°F (freezer) and 32–40°F (refrigerated areas).
• Work in wet and cold conditions.
• Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use tools and equipment such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery.
• Work in other business areas as needed.

• Previous produce or quality assurance experience (preferred).
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work overnight or early‑morning shifts (varies by department).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment.
• Ability to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to push, pull, squat, twist, kneel, reach, turn, and bend.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs intermittently during shifts.
• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts based on business needs.
• Comfort working in temperatures between 35°F and 70°F.
• Required to wear oil‑and slip‑resistant shoes.

$16.50 per hour. Specific compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and additional factors.
