Position Overview

PT Receiver – Greenvale, NY

Our soon‑to‑arrive Greenvale store is actively seeking a PT Receiver for its team. The role involves reviewing inventory, determining what supplies need to be ordered, writing purchase orders, submitting them to vendors, tracking orders, and arranging shipment of these items. The receiver will also receive incoming shipments, organize and maintain stock, review receiving processes, and ensure warehouse safety.

Safety is a main priority for Uncle Giuseppes Marketplace. Receiving clerks must implement safety practices and processes, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, post safety information, train employees, and maintain a neat and orderly environment.

• Mechanical skills
  : operate warehouse machinery and equipment; must possess strong mechanical skills.
• Data entry
  : accurate entry for purchase orders, inventory logs, safety reports, and other records.
• Computer skills
  : familiarity with inventory software, tracking systems, Microsoft Office.
• Communication
  : oral and written communication when placing orders, speaking with suppliers, and submitting inventory reports.
• Work independently
  : ability to make quick decisions in fast‑paced environments.
• Organizational skills
  : maintain an orderly warehouse for accuracy in ordering and supplying.
• Physicality
  : ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift.

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working inside of a warehouse, preferably in a grocery store.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety rules and regulations.
• Physical dexterity and experience operating commercial grade equipment including a forklift (if licensed).
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• Computer skills and basic knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
