PositionSummary
The Warehouse Supervisor leads the safe, accurate, and efficient daily warehouse operation supporting DO & CO’s airline catering services. This role oversees employees, labor deployment, receiving, inventory, food and equipment storage, and timely distribution to meet production and flight requirements.
As an active leader on the warehouse floor, the Warehouse Supervisor sets clear expectations, verifies execution, resolves operational issues, and holds the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and service.
Responsibilities:- Direct daily assignments for Warehouse Leads and warehouse employees based on deliveries, production schedules, flight activity, workload, and available resources.
- Lead shift briefings, communicate deadlines and service standards, maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor, and verify that work is completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee local deliveries, air cargo shipments, sea containers, and returns.
- Reconcile incoming and outgoing items against purchase orders, invoices, delivery orders, and shipping records.
- Coordinate cargo pickups, equipment and beverage packing, and material returns.
- Verify quantities, condition, identification, and required documentation before materials are accepted or dispatched.
- Maintain applicable airline shipment and U.S. Customs records, including CBP Form 7512, invoices, air waybills, bills of lading, and vessel supply entry records.
- Ensure drivers receive the correct flight equipment, beverages, and materials within required timelines.
- Promptly investigate, resolve, or escape delivery discrepancies.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, picking, staging, and distribution of nominated food items, including frozen, refrigerated, and dry products.
- Verify product identity, quantity, lot information, expiration or best-by dates, condition, required documentation, and temperatures upon receipt.
- Ensure products are moved promptly into the appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain the cold chain and enforce first-in, first-out (FIFO), first-expired, first-out (FEFO), shelf-life, traceability, allergen, and product-segregation controls.
- Immediately segregate, label, document, and elevate damaged, expired, contaminated, temperature-abused, or otherwise nonconforming products.
- Prevent nonconforming products from being released without the required authorization.
- Enforce established HACCP, sanitation, personal hygiene, pest-prevention, and quality procedures.
- Verify storage temperatures, cleanliness, organization, and completion of required records.
- Support audits, inspections, investigations, product holds, recalls, and corrective actions.
- Communicate food-safety and supply risks before they affect production or flight operations.
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory through transaction checks, cycle counts, and scheduled monthly inventories.
