Seasonal Warehouse Associate – Flatiron

A Warehouse Associate assists the Warehouse Lead with the day-to-day operations of the department, including the accurate receipt, inspection, storage, organization, and distribution of food, supplies, merchandise, and materials throughout the store. The Warehouse Associate ensures deliveries and inventory are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Eataly’s standards, mission, and policies. Reports to the Grocery/Warehouse Manager.

• Receives and unloads food items, supplies, merchandise, and materials delivered to the store.
• Checks incoming merchandise against purchase orders, order sheets, and delivery documentation for accuracy in weight, quantity, quality, and specifications.
• Identifies and documents discrepancies, damages, shortages, or incorrect deliveries and promptly communicates them to the appropriate manager.
• Ensures products are stored appropriately and follow First In, First Out (FIFO) standards where applicable.
• Organizes, stores, and retrieves deliveries and inventory in designated storage areas.
• Communicates and collaborates with other departments as pertains to deliveries, inventories and strategy
• Returns unsalable merchandise to suppliers
• Maintains records on the computer related to shipment loading, unloading, transfer of goods, etc.
• Receives, transports, and distributes non-food items (Collateral)
• Checks and matches POs to store departments for receiving
• Verifies order on computer and/or scanner and closes POs as assigned
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of warehouse retail experience
• Excellent attention to detail

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Basic computer and math skills
• Forklift driving license

Compensation: The compensation for this position is $17 per hour
