Platform Property Care is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our responsive repairs team, providing electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations within residential homes across Newark and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver day‑to‑day electrical repairs, fault finding, maintenance and installation work.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard the first time, providing excellent customer service to homeowners.
- Plan and coordinate work schedules to maintain coverage within the regional team.
- Operate and maintain company equipment, including van, fuel card, mobile phone, iPad and lone worker device.
- Basic annual salary of £36,823 (additional overtime and out‑of‑hours pay available).
- 25 days holiday, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
- Employer pension contribution up to 12% (plus life assurance and dependent protection).
- Health and dental plan via Medicash.
- Company van and fuel card.
- Mobile phone, iPad and lone worker device.
- Completed an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3 & City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
- Knowledge of the 18th Edition Regulations.
- Experience in domestic electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or council.
- Valid driving licence.
- DBS check (required for working in customer homes).
- Team player with a hard‑working, can‑do attitude.
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
- Friendly, approachable and able to work in customers' homes.
The role is based in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The team works by area each day and may require participation in an out‑of‑hours rota.
