Electrical Engineer

Location: Newark

Put your electrical skills to work keeping a hospital running. Electrical fault-finding and responding to breakdowns. Maintaining lighting, power distribution and emergency lighting. Working on generators and battery backup systems. Planned maintenance, inspections and testing. Supporting wider building services, including ventilation, air conditioning and medical gases, within your competence. Minor installations and repairs. A recognised electrical apprenticeship and relevant trade qualification.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience. Knowledge of electrical installations, building services and health and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. No previous NHS experience needed. Four on, four off: regular four-day breaks, with rotating day and night shifts. Annual leave: 27 days plus eight bank holidays (calculated in hours to reflect your shift pattern), increasing with NHS service.
