As a Lead Product Designer, you will shape the strategy, design, and delivery of digital experiences across the connected vehicle ecosystem. Your work will directly influence how people interact with their vehicle every day, from the moment they approach it to every mile on the road.
We are looking for an exceptional product designer with strong craft, systems thinking, and product judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product design across key domains and platforms, including in-car, mobile, and connected companion accessories and devices.
- Define end-to-end user journeys, interaction models, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Turn ambiguous customer, business, and technical challenges into clear, elegant, and scalable design solutions.
- Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to shape product strategy and experience direction.
- Set a high-quality bar for design craft, documentation, and implementation readiness.
- Use research, data, benchmarking, and usability testing to guide design decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering from concept through production, including early alignment, design specs, reviews, and QA.
- Evolve design systems, interaction patterns, and documentation that scale across platforms.
- Lead design reviews, align stakeholders, and mentor designers to raise overall team quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience designing high-quality digital products for consumer technology, mobile, operating systems, connected devices, hardware/software ecosystems, automotive, or other complex interactive platforms.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, systems thinking, visual craft, prototyping, and end-to-end product execution.
- Proven ability to lead complex design initiatives from ambiguous problem spaces through launch.
- Track record of turning complex, technical product challenges into simple, intuitive user experiences.
- Mastery of UI/UX design, interaction design, visual design, information architecture, prototyping, and user-centered design processes.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to balance customer needs, business goals, brand expression, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability.
- Experience influencing product direction and building alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Expertise with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Proto Pie, Framer, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, critique, and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring designers, providing constructive feedback, and raising the quality of design work across a team.
