Under the direction of a credentialed Special Education Teacher, site administrator, or designated supervisor, the Special Education Paraprofessional Aide II provides instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings. The position assists in implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, supporting student access to instruction, promoting independence, and facilitating student participation in classroom and school activities.
The Special Education Paraprofessional Aide II works collaboratively with teachers, related service providers, and school staff to provide individualized assistance to students with diverse learning, behavioral, communication, and physical needs.
- Assist with implementing IEP goals and supporting student access to instruction.
- Promote independence and facilitate student participation in classroom and school activities.
- Support academic instruction, reinforce positive behavior strategies, and assist with classroom organization.
- Collect student data and supervise students in various school environments.
- Provide personal care or health‑related support as needed within established guidelines and training.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and staff.
