Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Special Education or assigned administrator, the Program Specialist provides leadership, technical assistance, and program support for the district’s special education programs. The Program Specialist assists in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of special education services to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, California Education Code, and district policies. The position supports school site administrators, special education staff, related service providers, students, and families to promote effective instructional practices and positive educational outcomes for students with disabilities.
