Location:

Newark, CA or Southfield, MI. On-site

Role Responsibilities
  • Contribute to ADAS motion controlandactuation interface specifications, system requirements for both internal and external supplier-provided systems.
  • Translate ADAS longitudinal and lateral actuation interface requirements to verification tests and execute in vehicle.
  • Organize test campaigns based on project milestones and verification cycles.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between various internal software teams and external chassis hardware suppliers (OEMs/Tier 1s) to resolve integration gaps and deviations early in the design phase
  • Collaborate closely with the system engineers and functional safety team to ensure compliance with ISO
    26262 standards.
  • Explore and implement simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and vehicle test approaches for efficient (sub-)system testing and validation.
  • Contribute to the definition and build-up of the test vehicle fleet, test benches, and calibration installations.
  • Develop and improve test plans, conduct data analysis, and participate in feature validation tests.
  • Enhance the integration process through automation and efficient test strategies.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art processes and tools for architecture, requirements, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) in a collaborative environment.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support testing at Proving Grounds.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of related experience, with a proven track recordin hardware/software systems for ADAS features and / or electromechanical motion control systems (e.g., Steer-by-Wire, Electronic Braking,Drive-by-wire,etc.)
  • Deep experience in designing, debugging, testing, and bringing up complex hardware/software systems.
  • Capability and creativity to complete projects successfully in innovative startup environments.
  • Several years of working experience at automotive Tier 1/2 suppliers or OEMs, with a deep understanding of automotive processes and workflows.
  • Programming skills and data analysis tool experience (e.g., C/C++,Matlab/Simulink,CANoe/CANape/CANalyzer, CAPL scripting,OXTSground truth).
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) or SOTIF (ISO 21448), specifically in interpreting safety concepts and verifying ASIL targets
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as JAMA, 3DX, DOORS,Polarion, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 3 years of related experience or equivalent work experience (PhD without experience).
  • Demonstratedexpertisein system engineering/integrationfor ADAS/AD features in mass production

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$154,000 - $211,750 USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits

Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
