Lucid is looking for an experienced RF System Engineering Manager to establish and manage a small team of engineers to implement a wide range of RF systems for our vehicles. This includes WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, UWB, Cellular, GPS/GNSS, Broadcast Radio (AM/FM/DAB).
This position requires an experienced professional with management experience and a strong background in electronic product design with integrated RF subsystem in a vehicle.
You will be expected to manage your team to ensure quality, meet requirements on schedule.
Drive innovation in technology, design, process and test.
You and your team will be responsible for:- Antenna selection, simulation and design
- Antenna placement in the vehicle
- Evaluate and select potential RF Radio solutions and suppliers by supporting the development of RFIs, RFQs and ESOWs.
- Determine test requirements and test capability at the ECU level and in vehicle.
- Complete all phases of development from prototype to mass production to ensure end to end in vehicle RF signal path performance covering all antennae, RF frontend, LNA and harness characterization; hardware bring up and verification.
- Manage suppliers and vendors to achieve best performance and meeting aggressive schedules.
- Work cross functionally with many different teams inside the company, suppliers and service vendors.
- Experience in a management and leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or a similar technical field) with a focus on RF is required. Master’s degree or higher education is preferred.
- Professional experience in RF circuit and system design.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong communications and negotiating skills.
- Project management experience.
- Skilled in RF test instrumentation.
- Knowledge in RF modulation and protocols.
The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$216,800 - $317,900 USD
Additional Compensation and BenefitsLucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
