Material Specialist - R&D Hardware

, you will ensure material readiness, validate bills of materials (BOM), track critical components, and coordinate kitting to keep early‑phase hardware builds on schedule. - Location: Onsite - Newark
- Pay Rate: $32-$38 per hour
- Employment Type: Contract (extension and potential full‑time conversion possible)
- Overtime: May be available during peak periods

Key Responsibilities- Ensure material availability to support engineering prototype and hardware builds
- Validate and manage bills of materials (BOM) for accuracy and completeness
- Track parts and components to maintain material readiness
- Coordinate kitting and staging activities for build execution
- Align material planning with changing engineering priorities and schedules
- Support process improvements related to material flow and readiness
- Participate in daily stand‑ups and cross‑functional planning meetings
- Maintain strong attention to detail in a fast‑moving R&D environment
- 2‑5 years of experience in materials planning, manufacturing support, or related operations
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience with manufacturing part processes and material coordination
- Ability to proactively manage multiple priorities with urgency
- SAP experience is a strong plus (training available)
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree not required
- Demonstrated job stability and commitment to long‑term engagement
