Seeking an experienced Exterior Trim Engineer responsible for the design, development, release, and launch of exterior trim systems for automotive vehicles. The candidate will work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable exterior components.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 7–8 years of experience in automotive exterior trim design and development
- Hands-on experience in at least some of the following areas:
- Sill trims
- Frunk / front trunk components
- Rocker panels
- Strong CAD modeling and engineering design experience using CATIA V5 or CATIA V6
- Experience with thermoplastic and thermoset resin materials
- Knowledge of Class A manufacturing and paint processes
- Experience with automotive product launch and production release
- Understanding of engineering computational/design tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional engineering environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
