The Engineering Technician provides hands‑on technical support to Process Engineers to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role supports production, process improvements, training, and troubleshooting, serving as a key link between engineering and the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist process engineers with developing and maintaining Standard Operator Procedures (SOP), BOM, and CRD for the manufacturing line process; train all manufacturing technicians and operators on SOP.
  • Help process engineer training and maintain training matrixes for production line technicians and operators; train and test the line technicians and operators routinely to ensure that their skill set qualifications are up to date.
  • Support Process Engineer for deploying solutions for quality improvement.
  • Support process engineer in sustaining and process improvement for all.
  • First line of defense in resolving operational issues raised by production operators, escalates to engineering if required.
  • First line of defense to bring up a down tool, escalates to maintenance/engineering if needed.
  • Assists with non‑standard Manufacturing walk‑in requests.
  • Provides dispositioning and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
  • Performs Recipe creation and Loading for all Manufacturing processes.
  • Writes operation/engineering procedures; trains and certifies production operators and junior technicians on all processes within Mechanical and Laser Dicing.
  • Ensures operators run SPC and execute OCAP (out of control action plan) if needed.
  • Executes Design of Experiment (DOE) provided by Engineering and provides data summary; report to Engineering.
  • Performs calibration, qualification on tools.
  • Supports Engineering to do root cause analysis/8D on measurement/inspection escapes.
  • Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions.
  • Escalates non‑standard problems or issues.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Two to Three years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support environment (EMS preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience with production equipment, troubleshooting, and process support.
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience working with SOPs, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment.
