Job SummaryThis role involves full ownership of steering wheel development from initial concept through to mass production. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to create innovative, safe, and high-quality steering wheel solutions. The position requires a strong mechanical engineering background and the ability to manage the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage steering wheel design release across all product stages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to balance performance, cost, and mass.
- Oversee Tier 1 suppliers for development and timing.
- Support restraint system integration and CAE optimization.
- Ensure component readiness for crash testing and homologation.
- Proven experience in automotive product development.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to manage suppliers and drive technical solutions.
- This position requires experience within the automotive industry, specifically in product development related to steering wheels, restraint systems, or interior components.
