Job Description:

We are currentlyseekinga talented and passionate Modeling Engineer to join the Vehicle Efficiency Engineering team . The primary responsibility of this role is to develop,validate, andutilizemodels of physical systems in the vehicle, to address design and performance questions. Our ideal candidateexhibitsa can-do attitude and approachestheir work with vigor and determination. The Vehicle Efficiency Engineering (VEE) teamis responsible forvehicle-level attributes that directlyimpactefficiency, performance, and customer experience. Working closely with product development, manufacturing, testing, validation, and attribute teams,Efficiency Engineering plays a critical role in delivering efficient, high-performing vehicles that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Through a combination of engineering expertise, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration, the team influences key decisions from concept development through production launch and beyond.

• Perform CFD simulations on HVAC and thermal system components and subsystems.
• Develop and maintain system models to solve mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems in electric vehicles.
• Build tools to support the pre-processing of simulation parameters and the post-processing of simulation results.
• Analyze the effect of changing parameters on the behavior of single components and complete systems.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering departments to understand physics, create models, and collect parameters forsystem level modeling.
• Couple the effects of different systems in an EV, including motor, gearbox, inverter, battery, charger, chassis, cooling,HVAC, and controls.
• Collaborate with vehicle testing teams to instrument vehicles andcarry ontests to correlate andvalidatemodels.

• Experience with commercial CFD software.

• Deep understanding of physics and modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware, software, and test teams.

• Experience and passion for hands-on work.
• Experience and knowledge of electric vehicles including batteries,driveunits, motor control, and power electronics.
• Fundamental knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and energy systems.
• Experience in HVAC and comfort modeling.
