Data Analyst, IT Consultant
This role is for a very experienced Lab informatica lead, who is well versed with instruments and laboratory instruments and equipment. In addition, the role requires the candidate not only to understands the instrumentation; it requires a candidate who have solid knowledge of ELN and SDMS and if possible, LIMS experience.
Core Responsibilities- Lab Workflow & User Enablement
- Work closely with scientists and IT to understand discovery lab workflows and translate them into practical ELN, SDMS, and (as needed) LIMS solutions that scientists will readily adopt.
- Legacy Instrument & Data Integration
- Assess aging lab instruments and computers and define practical, risk‑based approaches to capture and migrate instrument data into SDMS, using automated or manual methods as appropriate.
- ELN / SDMS / LIMS Configuration & Implementation
- Lead the configuration and implementation of ELN, SDMS, and LIMS, leveraging hands‑on experience as both a system user and administrator to ensure consistent data capture, traceability across samples and experiments, and prevention of future data silos.
- System Administration & Steady‑State Support
- Provide hands‑on system administration support, including user access, permissions, instrument connections, integrations, and performance oversight, and support ongoing operation and compliance after go‑live.
- Support end‑to‑end delivery by coordinating vendors, managing project timelines, and change management activities, and ensuring solutions are delivered on time and sustainable long term.
- Hands‑on experience implementing ELN, SDMS and LIMS and supporting laboratory data and sample management platforms.
- Must have a strong understanding of discovery lab operations, data flows, and scientific workflows.
- Proven ability to operate the lab systems as both a scientific user and system administrator.
- Experience in integrating, administering and maintaining lab instruments and managing instrument‑generated data.
- Skilled in defining data structures, traceability, and governance to support scalable discovery/lab space.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer’s science or equivalent in life sciences.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Must be local to Newark, CA, the job requires 5 days onsite presence.
The salary range provided for this contract role represents our good faith estimate for this position. Within the range, individual offers will vary based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process (W2 or C2C). In addition to compensation, the company provides eligible W2 employees with a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
