Job Title: Receiving Clerk – Level 3
Job Function: Receiving / Warehouse
Location: Newark, CA
Reports To: Logistics Supervisor
The Level 3 Receiving Clerk ensures accurate receipt, verification, and storage of all incoming materials while maintaining compliance with company SOPs, ESD protocols, and quality standards. This role also supports process improvement initiatives, provides guidance to junior team members, and ensures timely reporting and documentation of all materials received.
Responsibilities- Load, unload, and sign for incoming deliveries.
- Put away materials accurately, maintaining traceability and inventory locator systems.
- Safely move materials using carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Maintain organization and proper disposition of goods and paperwork in the receiving area.
- Occasionally drive the company vehicle for pickup or delivery of parts.
- Process inbound receipts to stockroom or designated storage locations using Oracle or other ERP systems.
- Accept deliveries, noting any damage or discrepancies.
- Verify part numbers and quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect labeling on boxes and ensure completeness of shipments.
- Apply all standard operating procedures, including ESD and manufacturing requirements for parts quality.
- Mentor and demonstrate work methods to junior receiving clerks and new hires.
- Share best practices, assist in troubleshooting minor issues, and support cross-training initiatives.
- Lead improvement initiatives within the receiving function.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in warehouse or receiving operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management preferred.
- Forklift certification and advanced material handling skills a plus.
