Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $97,000.00 Annually
SUMMARYThe Quality Assurance Engineer II will work together with Manufacturing to ensure production is meeting customer expectations and complying with internal and external quality requirements (ISO/AS). Commitment to and support of the Company Core Values are key to success in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Design Quality Plans for new and existing programs.
- During and at the completion of production, sign off on quality plans/work instructions and verify their completeness.
- Identify potential areas for improvement and follow thru on implementation of process changes.
- Lead MRB meetings (disposition and corrective action as needed).
- Issue and manage SCAR’s for CA implementation and verification.
- Develop rework processes (when necessary) with Manufacturing.
- Complete FAIR’s documentation when needed.
- Work with suppliers to improve quality, reduce scrap/rework, lower cost/lead times.
- Identify opportunities to apply SPC analysis.
- Manage calibration of measuring tools (performed by outside vendor).
- Issue and Process RMA’s.
- Prepare Certification Packages for production shipments.
- Review and approve incoming Supplier Certifications.
- Uphold the company core values

- Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
- Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or advanced Excel skills.
- Firm understanding of hands‑on mechanical inspection and setup.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 to 5 years prior Quality Engineering experience, preferably in Aerospace Machining or Contract Manufacturing environment
- Experience creating in-process inspection control plans.
- Experience working with Engineering/Machining to troubleshoot manufacturing defects.
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Experience with one or more of the following Quality Standards: ISO/AS
Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
