Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for inspecting hydrogen and vacuum furnaces, overhead cranes, DI tanks, forklifts, and other equipment, performing repairs, and maintaining shop safety and equipment function. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect overhead cranes
- Inspect DI tanks
- Inspect forklifts per checklist
- Inspect pressure gauges
- Inspect water pressure
- Inspect heating elements
- Inspect cooling systems
- Calibrate hydrogen sensors
- Check for faults and leaks
- Check oil on all pumps
- Check water temperatures
- Perform repairs on machinery and equipment as required
- Maintain shop in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Assist management with continual improvements
- Install, replace, and check shop lights
- Maintain safety guidelines
- Uphold company core values
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge and experience necessary for the position
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Capability to read drawings and inspect work performed
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of electricity
- Repair knowledge of related machinery and equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a facilities technician
Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
MATH AND REASONING ABILITYMathematical
Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers; multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Authorization to work in the United States. Eligibility for required U.S. government authorizations as required by U.S. export control regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRegularly required to stand, walk, and hear; frequently use hands and fingers; lift or move up to 50 pounds; maneuver with hands, arms, and body. Must meet vision requirements for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENTExposure to moving mechanical parts, hot/cold work environments, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, loud noises, electrical shock and vibration hazards. Personal protective equipment may be required.
