Maintenance Technician III
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for inspecting hydrogen and vacuum furnaces, overhead cranes, DI tanks, forklifts, etc. This role will perform repairs on machinery and other equipment as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect overhead cranes
- Inspect DI Tanks
- Inspect Forklift –per checklist
- Inspect pressure gauges
- Inspect water pressure
- Inspect heating elements
- Inspect cooling systems
- Perform Hydrogen sensor calibration
- Calibrate Hydrogen sensors
- Check for faults and leaks
- Check oil on all pumps
- Check water temps
- Check water pressure
- Perform repairs on machinery and other equipment as required.
- Maintain shop as per OSHA requirements
- Assist management with continual improvements
- Installing, replacing, and checking shop lights
- Maintaining safety guidelines
- Uphold the company core values
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
- Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of electricity
- Repair knowledge of related machinery and equipment
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a facilities technician
Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
