Position Summary
The Production Operator, Manufacturing supports the center by operating a wide variety of equipment, moving boxes and equipment, using computers and computerized equipment, filling forms, sorting and collating papers, following supervisor instructions, and communicating effectively with team members in both Digital and Signs & Graphics environments. The role primarily produces S&G print/finish orders according to customer specifications and maintains the Digital production area and equipment.
GeneralDuties and Responsibilities
- Process and produce Digital and Signs & Graphics print/finish orders as requested and/or directed
- Operate Digital and Signs & Graphics printers, binding and other auxiliary equipment
- Perform all phases of equipment set‑up, operation and routine maintenance
- Maintain equipment and supplies, including cleaning and repairing
- Provide customer service and problem solving with minimal supervision
- Produce work using LEAN manufacturing principles to achieve Done Right On Time quality results
- Follow supervisor instructions and assist other team members in center functions
- Maintain work area to 5S standards
- All other duties as needed or required
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of related experience preferred
- Prior experience of FXO products & services offerings preferred
- Commercial print environment experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
- Current Fed Ex Office team members must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements outlined in the Team Member Handbook
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees consistently
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction consistently
- Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure consistently
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods consistently
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support the Fed Ex Office business

Pay and Additional DetailsPay: $22.10 - $25.97/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift – Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm
