Job Title: Production Operator - SMT Lead
Job Functions: Production
Job OverviewProduction Operator SMT Lead sets up and operates SMT machines and equipment. Reports to Production Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Offline feeder setup tear down and component recognition, SMT machine operating and Handload.
- Must be able to train new SMT operators and assist SMT operators to learn new skills.
- Effectively prioritize schedule to accommodate new priorities or to resolve material issues.
- Setup, read and understand Set-up Sheets, Assembly Instructions, and Assembly Notes.
- Read and follow work instructions and visual aids.
- Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards.
- Identify, communicate, and escalation production issues and problems.
- Minimum education requirement is a High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of SMT automatic assembly equipment:
Screen Printer (Panasonic NM-EJP1A), SPI (TRI
7007), Pick & Place (Panasonic NM-EJM8A), Reflow Oven (Vitronics XPM3i). - Basic to Mid-Level knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Basic to Mid-Level knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (Employee Self-Service Portal), preferred.
- Basic knowledge with IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (certified preferred).
- Minimum 3-year work experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to stand in an eight-hour work shift with mandatory rest and lunch breaks.
