Machine Operator – Material Cutting

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the efficient operation of Zund digital cutting systems and F&K Skiver units, ensuring all materials are precisely shaped to meet exact requirements within established time frames.

Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Training

Note:

You must be available to complete your initial training during the day shift, which runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

• Operate digital die-cutting machinery (ZUND) to manufacture high-quality components that meet all design standards.
• Interpret and apply instructions from work orders and technical blueprints.
• Conduct ongoing visual inspections during production to ensure parts are accurate, complete, and free of defects.
• Help maintain machine uptime by troubleshooting ZUND compressor issues and performing routine maintenance like blade calibration and moisture separator checks.
• Configure camera settings and manually adjust parameters like brightness and hue to ensure optimal cutting performance.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment for each new production file to ensure consistent output.
• Support team productivity by operating machinery at its maximum effective speed and capacity.
• Ensure production timelines are met and notify your supervisor of any significant discrepancies between estimated and actual run times.
• Provide regular updates to leadership regarding production progress, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Complete end-of-shift tasks, including workspace sanitation and inventory replenishment, to keep the facility organized.
• Monitor supply levels for blades and materials, alerting management when restocking is necessary.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team through diligent housekeeping.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives on additional equipment as required.
• Complete additional tasks as directed by management.

• At least one year of relevant CNC experience, such as 3D printing, laser cutting, digital tables, packaging, sign manufacturing, or foam fabrication.
• Ability to work effectively with little to no direct oversight.
• Strong commitment to high quality standards and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to organize your workflow to ensure all project deadlines are hit.
• Adaptability and a positive attitude when facing shifting priorities.
