Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing practical solutions for manufacturing processes focused on quality, safety and efficiency. This professional maintains in-depth knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and procedures from raw material receipt through finished product/ packaging.

• MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Work directly with manufacturing in a team environment for problem solving, buy-in, and support of new processes
• Identify manufacturing variability issues and work with Designing team, Production, and Maintenance to reduce or eliminate variation in manufacturing processes.
• Implement Continuous Improvement principles and tools in the manufacturing processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Packaging Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of hands‑on manufacturing/process engineering experience
• Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement experience
• Six Sigma knowledge with experience reducing process variation and improving KPIs; certification is preferred
• Experience creating, maintaining, or improving bills of materials and manufacturing routings
• Experience with skill matrices, cross‑training plans, or workforce competency management
• ERP/MRP experience supporting BOMs, routings, production reporting, costing, and capacity analysis
• Proven results improving quality, safety, efficiency, throughput, scrap, downtime, or manufacturing costs
• Ability to work directly with production, maintenance, design/engineering, and quality teams
• Seek out research, develop cost analysis, and justification for new methods, procedures, equipment, and materials.
• Evaluate production capacity capabilities of existing operations and recommend and implement enhancements as needed.
• Work with the ERP systems, evaluating processes, generating reports and analysis for the production.
• Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks.
• Able to interpret mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical prints, and ladder logic.
• Develop CAD models and CNC programs to support estimating and production requirements
• Understand manufacturing costs and take ownership of manufacturing cost reduction initiatives
• Review customer requirements and specifications. Perform general calculations and design layouts to ensure accuracy and compliance to customer specifications. Consult with cross‑functional teams and customers to assure the design will meet specification

Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation in processes focused on improving KPIs.

• EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging or other related area is required.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Industry
• Project Management experience is preferred
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred
• LANGUAGES Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Other language skills are considered a plus
