Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 16 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters.

Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-non ferrous and other exotic alloys.

CNC Programmer will combine computer skills with manufacturing knowledge to program manufacturing software programs to create machined parts in an efficient, precise process with less waste, increased product consistency, and reduced energy consumption.

Determines the sequence of events needed to make a part by reviewing 3-dimensional computer blueprints. They may calculate how fast to feed the metal into the machine or how much metal to remove. Mastercam programmers will use the Mastercam software to then develop code that will be read by a computer-controlled module. The module directs machining tools including lathes or milling machines, which cut and shape pieces and machine parts.

This position prepares design and layouts along with investigations of; tools, fixturing, and equipment related to chip forming of metals. Determines complex machining sequence, methods and tooling; develops detailed machining instructions and required shop drawings; utilizes all complex 2-axis N/C programming techniques for machining operations for standardized or special types of work; and implements changes to develop most economical computer assist programs and develops standard programming catalogs.

• Analyzes individual job machining requirements based on machining practices and metallurgical characteristics of material for tooling and fixtures.
• Plans machining operations in proper sequence and prepares operational machining instructions.
• Creates all required tooling setup charts, operational drawings, templates, fixtures or special tooling via latest CAD technology.
• Prepares CAD manufacturing drawings, specification sheets, procedures, machining instructions, and any technical work necessary to complete tool designs required to perform planned machining operations.
• Issues N/C programs, manuscripts and operator work instruction paperwork as requested by PM supervision for all axis N/C turning, boring and milling equipment.
• Confers with other engineering and technical personnel at all levels to investigate and resolve problems concerning tools, equipment, fixtures, or gauges. Recommends re-design, repair, or re-building as required.
