Job Duties
- Display:
Set up fresh meat cases and ensure products have the proper signage. Maintain an attractive product display to showcase freshness and quality, while following company standards for merchandising. - Sales Floor Maintenance:
Keep aisles and common walking areas clean and free of boxes and debris to prevent injury. - Replenishment:
Unload and break down deliveries; stock freezers with products; refill and rotate products to meet customer needs and maintain freshness. - Dumping:
Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with company, state food safety, and health regulations. - Stock:
Arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products, rotate using First‑In‑First‑Out (FIFO) method. - Customer Service:
Provide excellent service to customers and answer any questions or concerns they may have. - PI Count:
Work with other team members to conduct the inventory count. - Cleaning:
Follow company policy to clean the walk‑in cooler, freezer, display cases, scales, and counters in a safe manner. - Meat Sales:
Cut, wrap, and package items at customers’ request efficiently and accurately. - Perform other duties as required for business needs.
- Previous meat department experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general meat product lines or similar experience.
- Available to work on weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies.
- Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.
- Standing for long periods, bending to pick up items, and kneeling regularly.
- Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment.
- Able to work occasionally in environment temperatures ranging from 32º to 50°F.
Employment Type:
Full Time/Part Time.
Salary:
The pay range for this job starts from $18.00 - $28.00 per hour. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
