What You’ll Do
- Own secure boot architecture and boot loader frameworks for vehicle ECUs
- Build and maintain chain of trust
, firmware authentication & encryption - Develop bootloaders (U-Boot / custom) on Embedded Linux / QNX
- Enable hardware bring-up and debug low-level platform issues
- Implement secure OTA firmware update mechanisms
- Optimize boot time, memory footprint & system performance
- Collaborate with system & security teams to define platform-level security
- 10+ years in embedded systems development
- Strong expertise in:
- Secure Boot / Root of Trust
- Bootloaders (U-Boot, Barebox, or custom)
- Embedded Linux / BSP / device bring-up
- Solid programming in C/C++ (Python/Shell is a plus)
- Hands-on with hardware debugging (JTAG, GDB, etc.)
- Experience with secure firmware updates (OTA)
Pay Rate: $60/hr - $70/hr
Nice to Have- Automotive/ECU experience
- AUTOSAR, QNX, or RTOS
- Knowledge of crypto protocols (AES, RSA, ECC, TLS, PKI)
