Tax Manager

A highly respected public accounting firm in Delaware is expanding its tax team and looking for an experienced Tax Manager to take ownership of individual and business tax engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys more than just preparing returns. You’ll have the chance to manage engagements, build client relationships, provide tax guidance, and play an important role in the growth of the firm’s tax practice.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns
• Manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion
• Research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations to clients
• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate them effectively
• Review work prepared by staff and senior-level tax professionals
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and develop long-term relationships
• Assist with tax projections, planning, and year-round advisory services
• Ensure returns and engagements comply with applicable federal and state tax regulations
• Stay current on changes to tax legislation and accounting standards
• Assist with mentoring, training, and developing members of the tax team
• Support other client and firm initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience preparing both individual and business tax returns
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader accounting team
• CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or Master of Science in Taxation (MST) preferred
