Our Mission: NCCL School provides a rich academic and cultural foundation that nurtures the joy of discovery in every child and fosters curious, creative, and critical thinkers.

About Our School & The Position

NCCL School is a progressive, student-centered K–5 program rooted in experiential learning, collaboration, and meaningful relationships. Our small, deeply connected community values curiosity, creativity, and real-world engagement.

This is a pivotal and energizing moment for NCCL. As we transition to a K–5 model, we are thoughtfully reimagining what progressive education can look like in a sustainable, future-focused way. The Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in helping to shape and support this next chapter.

The Administrative Coordinator is a part-time, year-round leadership position responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school, front office management, and community-facing communication. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, collaborative, and energized by working in a dynamic, evolving school environment.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

  • Is collaborative, flexible, and solutions-oriented
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-faceted role
  • Is deeply aligned with progressive, experiential education
  • Communicates clearly, warmly, and effectively with a wide range of audiences
  • Is a big-picture thinker who can also manage details and follow-through
  • Is confident navigating sensitive situations with care and professionalism

  • Maintain school records and internal data systems
  • Coordinate building maintenance, vendor relationships, and physical plant needs
  • Support and manage school technology platforms (Google Suite, website, databases, etc.)
  • Coordinate after-school events and logistics
  • Partner with parent committees and track Family Engagement Program participation

Communications & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a primary liaison for current and prospective families
  • Lead school communications, including newsletters, website updates, and calendar management
  • Support enrollment and retention through clear, mission-aligned messaging
  • Oversee social media and digital storytelling efforts
  • Help articulate and share NCCL’s progressive philosophy with the broader community

Leadership & Strategic Support

  • Collaborate with the Administrative Team on school-wide planning and decision-making
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development processes
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation
  • Help manage and resolve conflicts within the school community
  • Serve as Board Secretary, maintaining records and supporting communication with the Board of Directors
  • Act as a welcoming and knowledgeable ambassador for NCCL
Working Relationships

This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, and collaboration. The Administrative Coordinator works closely with staff, families, prospective families, alumni, and community partners, and plays a key role in strengthening relationships across the school.

NCCL School is committed to building a community that reflects a wide range of identities, experiences, and perspectives. We strongly encourage candidates from historically underrepresented backgrounds, and those with non-traditional pathways into education, to apply.

If this role excites you, we hope you’ll reach out, even if you don’t meet every listed qualification.
