Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Operator to complete basic data entry, scanning, and indexing various source documents into a document imaging system for storage, processing, and data management purposes within the public sector. This position will be part-time contract and onsite in Newark, DE.
What You'll Do- Prepare documents for digitalization by separating a variety of records to prep for their indexing subtype
- Operate scanning equipment to convert paper documents into digital formats, ensuring clarity and readability of scanned images, as necessary
- Accurately index and categorize digital documents within the imaging system, adhering to established naming conventions and organizational standards
- Implement document retention policies, ensuring compliance with designated retention schedules, as necessary
- Perform quality checks on documents to validate the document was received in the proper format
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all digital records, following data protection regulations
- Maintain assigned office equipment in a clean and professional manner
- Work closely with managers and team members to ensure that all necessary documentation is collected, indexed, and maintained
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Suite applications or equivalent
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to team members and managers
- Familiarity with document imaging systems and related software
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Transportation to/from office, dependable and on-time
- Be available to work in minimum of one Saturday a month, if necessary
- Ability to work 100% onsite
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods and work in a stationary position at a desk
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards. Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.

Pay & Benefits$17 per hour. The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
