Job Description & How to Apply Below

Bringing fresh global produce home. Celebrating over 165 years in business, we are one of North America’s top fresh produce sales and marketing companies. We bring over 100 varieties of produce from more than 20 different countries to the market. Recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the past 20 years and a top employer, our business is managed by a team of dedicated professionals delivering exceptional service from over a dozen offices throughout North and South America.

And, because a healthy planet is essential to our growers, customers, and all of us at Oppy, sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do.

OPPORTUNITY ALERT! Do you love it when the numbers tell a story, and you’re the one who gets to tell it? Are you the person teammates lean on when a forecast needs to be right, a deal needs to be tracked, or a claim needs to be airtight? If you’re energized by big data, big retailers, and a fast-moving business where your work moves real product to real shelves, we’d like to meet you.

Oppy is hiring a Key Account Coordinator to anchor one of our most important retail partnerships, and turn information into smart, on-time decisions.

The Impact You Will Have

You will be the connective tissue between our retail customer and Oppy — the person who makes sure the right information moves between our systems and theirs from the moment a program kicks off to the moment the final payment lands. Your forecasts will shape what we ship; your analysis will sharpen the decisions our sales and category leaders make; and your attention to detail will protect revenue every single week.

What

You Will Do
  • Track how deals, key accounts, and categories are performing, turning raw sales and marketing data into the insights that drive smarter, faster decisions.
  • Build the reports our sales team relies on, pulling from our data warehouse to support demand and supply forecasting that keeps product moving.
  • Work with IT to enhance our data warehouse and ensure the accuracy and integrity of its data.
  • Be the go-to for our sales team and category directors on all things: answering questions, preparing bids, pricing, processing claims, managing orders, and addressing non-compliance.
  • Assemble final pricing for new bids and upload to the customer system with the kind of accuracy that prevents headaches downstream.
  • Own the customer trouble file process — organizing documentation so every payment claim we file is complete, defensible, and on time.
  • Collaborate closely with transportation, supply, and repack so orders are processed cleanly and delivered when they need to be.
  • Project all regular and promotional activity on replenished items weekly and keep the team in the loop on promotions, spiked movement, and new warehouse openings.
Who You Are
  • You bring post-secondary training in math, finance, or business — the foundation behind the way you think about numbers.
  • You have 3–5 years of related experience, ideally in data management, sales analysis, or a similar role in produce or perishable commodities.
  • Analytically Sharp. You love a well-built spreadsheet. Your Excel and Access skills are advanced, and you have a working understanding of data warehouse concepts, business research, and marketing analytics.
  • Detail-Driven. You catch the thing other people miss. Logical problem-solving and mathematical accuracy are second nature.
  • Self-Directed. You exercise mature judgment, take initiative, and consistently deliver high-volume work on tight deadlines without losing the thread.
  • A Strong Communicator. You can explain what the numbers mean to people who don’t live in the numbers — clearly, concisely, and with confidence.
  • A Team Player. You collaborate naturally across departments, knowing the best outcomes come when sales, supply chain, IT, and finance all row in the same direction
Why Work for Oppy?
  • We are the perfect size of organization that is still nimble yet organized, where meaningful impact and contributions happen.
  • We have a strong culture with terrific people that care about the business and each other. We want our people to grow and succeed.
  • We believe in you bringing your best true self and your best ideas,…
