Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Job Description
Our client is a leading utility organization within the energy industry, with a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Ongoing initiatives across the utility sector—Grid Modernization, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), and Distribution Automation—are driving the need for increased network bandwidth, capacity, and resilience. To support this growing demand, utilities are implementing more redundant and resilient communication backbones to ensure reliable connectivity across networked devices.
Historically, the organization’s primary focus has been on power delivery rather than internal communications networks. While upgrades and MAC (Moves, Adds, and Changes) activities have been performed over time, a lack of standardized processes and emphasis has resulted in gaps in documentation and system records. With several major initiatives underway, the organization is seeking to bring on a resource to help address the backlog of documentation and support ongoing updates within their systems.
This role will focus on improving documentation accuracy and supporting planning efficiencies.
- Work closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate network information.
- Perform updates and organization of documentation within internal systems.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across documentation databases.

- GIS platform experience (e.g., ESRI, Small world, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Communication:
- Strong ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information.
- Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy and organization.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Hybrid work model (home, office, and occasional fieldwork).

- Collaborative, hands‑on environment focused on cross‑functional learning.
