QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLUMBING/HVAC ESTIMATOR
- Minimum of five (5) years' proven experience as an HVAC and plumbing estimator, preferably within the new home construction industry.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and motivated with strong time management, analytical and follow through skills.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, installation processes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare precise, accurate estimates.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Buildertrend, Pro Est, Quickpen, Manual J, or similar software).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.) and/or other relevant software programs.
WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time construction estimating position typically works 8.5-hour-shifts on Monday - Friday but hours may vary based on business needs.
