Overview
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Construction Observation and Testing Assistant Project Manager (COT APM) to join our team in Newark, Delaware. The role involves overseeing Construction Field Technicians in the field, conducting observations and testing for special inspections during site work and building construction, and preparing final reports. Collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate personnel and equipment, and work with technical experts to ensure seamless project execution.
Engage with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Oversee Construction Field Technicians in the field
- Conduct observations and testing for special inspections during site work and building construction
- Prepare final reports with attention to accuracy and detail
- Coordinate personnel and equipment in collaboration with Project Managers
- Collaborate with technical experts to ensure successful project execution
- Engage with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project requirements are met
- 2-5 years of COT experience (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate projects
- Good driving record, valid driver’s license, and own vehicle
- NICET, ICC, ACI or other certifications preferred but not required
The role may require standing for extended durations and repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. Must have the ability to use hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit; vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth) and the ability to focus. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
