Overview
The Safety Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting construction field operations by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. This position is a key partner to project teams, focusing on proactively identifying hazards, promoting safe work practices, and delivering training programs.
Responsibilities- Conduct on-site safety inspections and audits.
- Monitor PPE compliance and enforce safety protocols.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver OSHA-based training programs.
- Investigate incidents and document findings.
- Maintain safety records and reporting documentation.
- Collaborate with management and field teams.
- Serve as liaison with OSHA and safety agencies.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management or related construction field experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge of electrical construction (NFPA 70E preferred).
- Valid Driver's License.
Skills & Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Experience in safety program development.
- Understanding of risk mitigation and incident investigation processes.
- Proficiency in safety training and compliance management.
Permanent position based out of Newark, DE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $ per year.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Newark, DE.
