About the department / center:

The Egg is Student Life’s Student Creative Agency within the University of Delaware Division of Student Life Office of Communications and Marketing. The Egg provides students with hands-on professional development opportunities in graphic design, multimedia, marketing, photography, videography, and communications through real-world projects supporting Student Life departments and student organizations.

Role

Description:

The Division of Student Life is seeking responsible, motivated, and creative undergraduate students to serve as Graphic Designers for The Egg, Student Life’s Student Creative Agency. Students in this role will support print and digital marketing initiatives, develop creative assets for campus campaigns and events, and collaborate with professional staff and student creative leaders on real-world projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design graphic assets for print and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Create event signage, social media graphics, promotional materials, and way finding assets.
  • Prepare production-ready files for print and digital outputs.
  • Collaborate with student creative directors, project managers, and professional staff.
  • Participate in agency meetings, trainings, critiques, and professional development opportunities.
  • Utilize project management systems and time tracking software to manage assignments and deadlines.
  • Maintain brand consistency and accessibility standards across projects.
  • Support interdisciplinary creative projects and assist with additional communications initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in graphic design, branding, communications, and marketing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented creative environment.
  • Willingness to learn new creative skills and contribute across multiple project types.
  • First-year and sophomore students are encouraged to apply; however, all class years will be considered.

Employment Limitations and Exceptions:

Applicants must be undergraduate students at the University of Delaware. Work study eligibility can be found here. Applicants who are not enrolled as undergraduate students at the University will not be considered for this position.
