Position Overview
The City of Newark's Parking Management team is seeking a reliable, professional team member to provide excellent customer service with a focus on de‑escalation and interpersonal skills. This full‑time position is responsible for community parking relations and enforcement of parking regulations for the City’s parking division. Up to two candidates may be hired from this posting. The annual salary range is $49,002 to $71,195 with a hiring salary of $49,002, a shift differential, and excellent fringe benefits including employer‑paid individual healthcare, a traditional pension, sick leave, wellness incentives, and paid time off.
Responsibilities- Community parking relations and enforcement of parking regulations for the City’s parking division.
- Saturday through Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
- Must be able to work outside and walk long distances in all weather conditions.
- Honest, with an excellent work record and able to work and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
