Pediatric Urgent Care Physician​/PEM - Springfield, PA Part-Time

PM Pediatric Care delivers world‑class evidence‑based pediatric medicine and an exceptional patient experience through a network of urgent care centers that operate like an emergency department but in a private practice setting. With on‑site x‑ray, lab services, supportive staff, specialty consultations, and a research‑driven culture, we provide convenient, high‑acuity care for children and young adults while fostering professional growth for all pediatricians.

We are actively expanding and seeking pediatricians to join a vibrant team of over 70 PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, physicians evaluate and treat urgent‑care patients, both in‑person and via telemedicine.

• Assess and treat acute injury and illness for in‑person and telemedicine patients, including management of febrile infants/children, ear/nose/throat infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma.
• Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign‑body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, or dermal adhesive.
• Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation with official radiology read‑throughs (where permitted).
• Oversee in‑person and telemedicine patient flow and daily office functions, including oversight of other providers, staff, and trainees on shift.
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes to management.
• Collaborate with onsite and telemedicine teams to complete daily tasks—including lab and radiology review, patient follow‑up, and timely responses to patient calls and messages—and maintain a safe, healthy workplace.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by complying with HIPAA regulations.
• Update knowledge and skills through internal training, continuing education, publications, and professional organization participation.
• Assist the clinical team and patients with complaints, taking an active role in service recovery when needed.
• Focus on efficiency metrics to improve urgent‑care flow, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience.

• Ability to critically think, multitask, and work as part of a team.
• Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred).
• BC/BE in Pediatrics.
• Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience.
