Role Description

USC Films Director is responsible for providing assistance with planning the weekly scheduled USC program, “Lights, Camera, Action on Main.” Responsibilities include being a part of the program planning, promoting events, oversight of executing the program, and assisting the assessment process. Intern will be well versed on policies and procedures within the University Student Centers.

Primary job duties
  • Coordinate weekly film series, “Lights, Camera, Action on Main” with oversight from Associate Director and Program Coordinator
  • Work with Main Street Movies to confirm weekly movie schedule
  • Create, manage, and communicate with RSVP attendee list from Student Central
  • Promote and market the event each week with at least 1 social media post and Student Central event listing
  • Assist with assessment surveys and tracking of attendance
  • Assist with other programs with in our unit (Perkins Live, Quizzo, etc.) when needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned to assist with programming efforts
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of how to program events and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience in leadership/management positions.
  • General knowledge of multiple areas of the University community is a plus.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and dependability.
  • Interest in working in the student affairs field or event planning/management.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week. No more than 10 hours per week.
  • Must be a matriculated University of Delaware undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
  • Must be able to attend fall training in August.
