Location: The Learning Experience – Newark, DE
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $17–$20 per hour
The Learning Experience – Newark is hiring a Lead-Qualified Float Teacher to support classrooms across Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool. This position is ideal for a confident, adaptable educator who enjoys variety and can step into lead coverage when needed while maintaining consistency and quality across the school.
Our center provides a structured, play-based learning environment that supports early academics, social-emotional development, and positive classroom experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide lead-level classroom coverage across multiple age groups as needed
- Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Support early literacy, math, social skills, and creative exploration
- Assist with daily routines including meals, rest time, and transitions
- Collaborate with teaching teams and leadership to ensure classroom consistency
- Communicate professionally with families and staff
- Maintain compliance with Delaware licensing and center policies
- TECE I and TECE II required
- High school diploma or GED required
- CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred
- Minimum 6 months classroom experience (1+ year preferred)
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to meet all Delaware childcare licensing and background requirements
