Rate of pay: $16.73 - $25.09 Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

Essential Responsibilities

* Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.

* Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.

* Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.

* Keeps accurate class attendance records.

Minimum Qualifications

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community

* CPR & First Aid Certified

* Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and/or completed one specialty certification

Preferred Qualifications

* Multi-lingual skills

* National Group Exercise Certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NETA) and/or BS in related field
